1- Open a new Layer and draw body part of the pencil with Rectangular Marque Tool.
2- Fill the selected area with Gradient Tool. Gradient Tool options bar should look like you see below.
3- Left side of the body draw a triangle as using Polygonal Losso Tool. Foreground and Background colors should be so:

Foreground> R:255 / G:122 / B:123 |

Background> R:160 / G:100 / B:0 |
4- Fill again the selected area with Gradient Tool and this time Options Bar should be so:

5- For the tip of the pencil select a new area agan with Polygonal Losso. Apple+L (Image>Adjustments>Levels...) Setup output Level Zero. Hit OK.
6- Apple+D Deselect the area. Next is eraser. Make a new Layer and setup the new layer between Layer 1 and Background. |
